 Today was such a gorgeous day! Went out to an Islamic Event so I decided to go for this nice black fitted dress or "abaya" that I just got from a friend of mines in Florida. I was def. feeling myself today ! aha Don't I always ! Stay beautiful ! xo

Homemade Style: "Mikzizi Smoothie"

Last night, I came home and I was so excited about eating some mixed veggies made with some pasta. Came to find out it was gone!! So anyways I did not want to eat a heavy dinner because I really did not  have a big appetite and it was late. My mother had bought loads and loads of veggies and fruits yesterday so I decided to make a home made smoothie perfect idea since I am trying to lose 10-20 pounds for the summer time :) It came out great!!!!!! Everyone in my house went crazy for it

HC TREND ALERT: The Border/Outline Manicure

So here's a new nail trend for Spring/Summer 2012. I fell in love with this and I will def. be trying to rock this look! 

So basically its just a thin contrasting  color that  is painted right around the outside of your nail. This look isn't hard to achieve all you need is some steady hands and know some contrasting colors. Colors I would use are yellow / purple, black / white, black/ metallic, baby pink/ baby blue, orange/ pink, blue/yellow and much much more!

Mini MAC Haul

This post was suppose to be for yesterday but was pretty lazy! Well yesterday the weather was gorgeous and I was so bored so I decided to drag a friend of mine and head downtown to walk around . I did a little thrifting and bought a gorgeous skirt. then I saw MAC and I  told myself " I'm only going in there for some lippies (lipsticks) to update my lipstick collection . That totally didn't happen haha! I wanted to spend about maybe $30-$50 but those people at MAC sure do know how to talk to you in on buying something!!! lol So I bought a Prep +Prime finish powder , 3 lippies (Snob, Half N' Half, and their limited edition Sheen Supreme Lipstick in "Fashion City")and I also needed another bottle of Studio Fix foundation .  I'm currently using MAC prolongwear foundation because I ran out of studiofix so I had to pick that up . I'm in the shade NC 50 ( cost $27) I also picked up Prep +Prime Finishing powder ($23) because I usually set my makeup with the studio fix powder but I need the PP finishing Transparent powder because it reflect less when taking pictures with the flash on .

From left to right: Snob(which is a pretty pink great for spring and summer) I'll probably wear it with pink nouveau) then its Sheen Supreme lipstick  in "Fashion City'" similar to ravishing with their peachy coral color, except "Fashion city" is more cremey and smooth you don't really have to wear a lip pencil to make it last long. Lastly its "Half and Half"which is more of a nude color similar to Lady Gaga except its less ashy ! The regular lipsticks were $14.50 except for the Limited Edition Sheen Supreme that one was $16.50.

Trayvon Martin : NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!!!

On February 26, 2012 Trayvon Martin was killed by Neighborhood Watch leader in a small, gated Florida community. His death has rippled through many corners of the nation's justice and political system and raised questions about the relationship between the black community and police in small towns. Everytime I hear this story on the news I feel sick, angry, and disgusted! Its close to almost a month and his killer hasn't even been arrested. Crazy right?! If the roles were to be switched up it would have been a whole different story !

In the past 48 hours this case  Ignited protests, including a "Million Hoodie March" in New York City planned today, a protest Wednesday outside the Florida Division of Licensing, urging state officials to withdraw George Zimmerman's concealed weapons permit and a rally Thursday in Sanford led by civil rights activist Al Sharpton. Also thousands and thousands of people have signed a petiton for the arrest of trayvon killer, George Zimmerman. 

My heart goes out to Trayvon's family and I hope justice is served! No justice No peace!!

Over here in the east coast we are blessed to have spring like weather for a whole week. Weather in the mid 60's .. Who doesnt enjoy that? So I have a problem I am addicted to blazers! The reason why is because you can easily make an outfit with it and blazers can be worn throughout the four seasons! SO THE WAIT IS OVER!!!! As you all now (well MAC addicts) Nicki Minaj's Pink Lipstick and Ricky Martin's Lip Conditioner Limited Edition is out today. I'm so excited and quite wait to add to my lipstick collection . If you want to be bold and make a statement this bright pink lipstick is for you ! the second reason is because all of the proceeds go towards the fight against HIV/AIDS. New York Fashion Week 2012 !

It's crazy out here in NYC, but the buzz of style and new fashions, chic runway shows  makes my heart drops. Its all so so freaking fabulously exciting!!! and inspiring!!!  The movement of fashion still continues and the amazing shows designers put on twice a year create color trends for the future.I have so many designers I can't even name them. So this post was suppose to be for yesterday but I was too interested in watching the first episode of the new season of "The Game" . Show was awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and ended with a Bang! Ok let me get back to some fashion goodies.. So yea I stay up until 4/5 o'clock in the morning blogging and prep'n some things for HayaaCouture and I spotted Melanie in this sick wicked outfit that was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine.... Fabric Heaven !

So today, my twin sister decided to wake me up around 9 o'clock in the morning (A BIG no no when school isn't in session) . So I woke up and I found out we was going to the fabric store ! I took the fastest shower , got dress and we was out the door! I  spotted some beautiful fabrics as you can see in the picture that I managed to take . I couldn't seem to make up my mind on what fabrics to get it, was soo MANY. So like about an hour later we all finally settled on our fabrics . Going to go make out some designs in my head and get something made . Not going to say what now, but stay tuned and you'll find out soon :) Til' next time ladies xoxo !

So its the first day of the new year what a great time to launch my blog ! (yippeeeeeee) Well anyways I will keep you ladies posted with some fabulous goodies !!! Right now I want to show  you my favorite trend of last year , Color Blocking ! Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose rocked it real well! Color Blocking  can be achieved by combining two complementary colors (such as violet and yellow) or analogous colors (like violet and blue)colors to create a bold and fresh look!
